An important message for those impacted by the recent Hurricanes in Texas and Louisiana

Aflac wishes to express our deepest concern for policyholders who have been impacted by recent hurricanes. We continue to hope for the safety of everyone affected and for a swift recovery from issues caused by the storms.

Hurricane Ike - Texas

To assist our Texas policyholders in counties affected by Hurricane Ike, Aflac has extended the date for premiums due on September 7, 2008 to November 7, 2008, without late fees, penalties, cancellation or risk of non-renewal.  In accordance with the Texas Department of Insurance, the affected counties include:

Angelina, Austin, Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Cherokee, Coryell, Fort Bend, Freestone, Galveston, Gregg, Grimes, Hardin, Harris, Houston, Jasper, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Matagorda, Milam, Montgomery, Nacogdoches, Newton, Orange, Polk, Robertson, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Trinity, Tyler, Waller, Walker, Washington, Wharton.
 
Hurricane Gustav - Louisiana

To assist our Louisiana policyholders in parishes affected by Hurricane Gustav, Aflac has extended the date for premiums due on August 30, 2008 to September 30, 2008, without late fees, penalties, cancellation or risk of non-renewal.  In accordance with the Louisiana Department of Insurance, the affected parishes include:

Acadia, Allen, Ascension, Assumption, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Catahoula, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Evangeline, Franklin, Grant, Iberia, Iberville, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, Lafourche, LaSalle, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, Rapides, Sabine, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Vermilion, Vernon, Washington, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana.

As Aflac’s systems are primarily automated, you may receive notices of cancellation while the grace period is in effect. Please disregard any such notices. Your policy or policies will remain in force as you recover from the hurricanes.
