Some Aflac policies pay you money for staying on top of your health by getting routine checkups and medical screenings such as physicals, dental exams, eye exams and more. Most Aflac Accident, Hospital Indemnity and Cancer Insurance policies have wellness or health screening benefits.

Some common exam types that may qualify include**:

Accident Policies:

Hospital Policies:

How to file for a wellness or routine medical exam benefit

Filing your claim is easy. Have these three things ready to make your claims submission faster:

  • Your doctor’s contact information
  • The date of your visit
  • Health exam performed

Follow these five easy steps to file a claim and get paid fast:

  • Schedule and complete your checkup or screening with your doctor.
  • Visit aflac.com/login to log in or register your account using your Social Security Number and Mobile Phone Number.
  • Once logged in, select Submit a new claim.
  • Choose a policy, then select Routine Medical Care and complete the steps to file your claim.
  • Check your email for claim updates. You’ll receive a link to the message center to view your claim status.

FAQs

How much money will I receive? The amount depends on how many policies you have and the exam or checkup you got. If you have multiple policies, the amount may be higher. If you have multiple policies, you only need to file a claim for one policy and the Aflac team will ensure you are paid all benefits you are due.

How will I get my money? The fastest way to get paid is to enroll in direct deposit. Once you’ve registered and logged in at aflac.com/login, go to My Account in the top right corner of your screen. Select Manage Account and choose the Billing and Direct Deposit option. From there you can enter your banking information.

How long will it take to get my money? Processing time is based on business days after all required documentation needed to render a decision is received and no further validation and/or research is required. Enroll in direct deposit to get paid faster.

How long am I eligible for this wellness benefit? Your wellness benefit is paid once per year when you file a claim (Accident/Hospital Indemnity is once per year per policy and Cancer is once per year per covered person). If you have had your Aflac policy active for several years and you forgot to file your wellness claim, you can file wellness claims for previous years.<?

I’ve never logged in to my Aflac account. How do I do that?

  • Here’s what you’ll need to set up your account at aflac.com/login:
    • You can use your Social Security Number and Mobile Phone Number, or your Aflac policy or certificate number (included in your welcome letter or policy packet).
    • We’ll also need your date of birth and ZIP code to verify your coverage. Make sure your name matches what you used at enrollment (for example, Michael vs. Mike for first name).
  • Once logged in, you can easily set up direct deposit. Go to My Account in the top right corner of your screen. Select Manage Account and choose the Billing and Direct Deposit option. From there you can enter your banking information.

Remember: Checkups = Aflac checks. Don’t leave your money on the table.
